# Caducus

> Caducus is an application-health and operator-assistance system that turns noisy operational events into prioritized issue patterns, alerts, and level-zero triage support.

## What it is

Caducus is the beginning of an operator-agent layer for the Anthus Platform. It takes logs and operational events, clusters them into meaningful patterns, and surfaces a small radar of issues that matter now instead of forcing humans to dig through raw noise.

## What it does

- Ingests events and demo datasets into a normalized operational view.
- Groups semantically related incidents into ranked issue patterns.
- Highlights recency, recurrence, and size so operators can triage effectively.
- Uses file-backed storage and semantic analysis components from the broader Anthus stack.

## Why it matters

Reliable AI systems need the same thing every other production system needs: operators who can understand what is happening quickly. Caducus is about shortening that path from "something is wrong" to "this is the pattern worth investigating first."

## How it fits the Anthus Platform

Caducus depends on [Virtuus](/platform/virtuus) for storage and [Biblicus](/platform/biblicus) concepts for semantic clustering and reinforcement memory. In the broader platform story, it represents the observability and operator-support layer that complements agent execution and MLOps.

A common pattern is [Primus](/platform/primus) + [Korporus](/platform/korporus) + [Caducus](/platform/caducus): govern the system, run it in a standard shell, and give operators a clearer picture of what is happening in production.
