## What it is

Korporus is the OS-shaped layer of the Anthus Platform. It provides a shell that can host independently built web applications through module federation and web-component contracts, so the platform can grow as a suite instead of collapsing into one giant coupled app.

## What it does

- Loads independently deployed modules into a shared application shell.
- Standardizes app manifests, slots, chrome, and settings patterns.
- Supports containerized deployment and shared operational infrastructure.
- Provides a natural host environment for platform interfaces and workers.

## Why it matters

When a platform grows, the user experience can either become fragmented or monolithic. Korporus is the compromise we want: one runtime and one shell, with modular apps that can still evolve independently.

## How it fits the Anthus Platform

Korporus is the surface where the rest of the platform can come together. [Primus](/platform/primus) services can sit behind it. [Kanbus](/platform/kanbus), [Tactus](/platform/tactus), and future operator or knowledge interfaces can appear inside it. It is the most literal expression of the phrase "Anthus Platform."

A common pattern is [Korporus](/platform/korporus) + [Tactus](/platform/tactus) + [Caducus](/platform/caducus): host the service in a shared shell, run durable procedures inside it, and make the live system legible to operators.
