What it is

Antharchy is Anthus's agentic Arch Linux desktop: a modern Wayland tiling environment based on Hyprland, forked from Omarchy and cleaned for high-efficiency agent and developer workflows. It is built to run for bots in agent factories, including headless cloud hosts.

What it does

• Ships a curated Arch desktop with dynamic tiling, UWSM, and a unified antharchy CLI.
• Runs headlessly on AWS EC2 with software rendering and remote desktop over WayVNC or Moonlight/Sunshine.
• Strips proprietary non-dev bloat so the image stays focused on agent and engineering work.
• Integrates cleanly with Anthropic developer tools and other agentic stacks out of the box.

Why it matters

Agents need a real workplace, not only an API call. Antharchy turns the Linux desktop into a reproducible unit of compute for long-running agent sessions — local or in the cloud — without dragging along a general-purpose consumer distro.

How it fits the Anthus Platform

Antharchy is the desktop layer underneath collaborative agent work. Chatticus can summon a computer for tool use; Antharchy is one image that computer can be. It pairs with Tactus procedures that need a browser, a terminal, and a durable filesystem, and with Kanbus when that work is tracked as code.

A common pattern is Chatticus + Antharchy + Tactus: shared room, agent desktop, durable procedure.
